Iran and China agreed that international sanctions on Iran’s nuclear program “have lost their effectiveness”, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said during his official visit to Beijing on April 2.
According to him, a number of issues were discussed during the talks. “In our talks with China it was agreed that tools such as sanctions have lost their effectiveness,” Jalili said.
Jalili also noted that the West should stop going on wrong lines and threaten Iran with significant sanctions.
“We are well familiar with the sanctions…We consider sanctions as one of the possibilities…We will be more decided on the matter,” the chief Iranian nuclear negotiator said.
