April 3, hitmen killed 25 people in a Sunni village in southern Iraq, AFP reports referring to an Iraqi Interior Ministry source.
Ten to 15 men wearing army uniforms and driving trucks similar to those used by the army targeted three houses in the village.
The victims, including five women were discovered handcuffed and with broken arms or legs, indicating they were tortured. The gunmen left seven civilians alive, Reuters informs.
