On 13 July conscript from Gyanja Emin Ragimov and his colleague fired on five officers in one of the Azerbaijani MF units of Fizuli region. As a result, the warrant and senior lieutenant died. Later one of the majors was reported dead too.

Azerbaijani Turan agency clarified the crime motive. “Major and warrant tried to rape two conscripts. Ragimov opened the fire on rapists from Kalashnikov rifle. The investigators found 27 bullet wounds on the officer’s body,” Turan reads. Azerbaijani Defense Ministry still did not comment. The Ministry’s position recently became usual.

Azerbaijani Defense Minister Safar Abiyev displaced the Colonel Sarvar Jabrailov, the Deputy Commander on educational work with personnel of Beylagan corps. Brigade commanders were left unharmed. According to some sources they are relatives of high-rank officials. According to NEWS.am sources Abiyev is possible to resign too.
