ISTANBUL. – Omer Gokcumen, a Turkish specialist in the field of genetics, noted that there are no genetic differentiations to distinguish a human group from another, reports Agos Armenian weekly of Istanbul.

The Turkish scientist claimed that no one can take a DNA test from the Kurds and the Turks, who live side by side, and prove that they are different.

“There is neither a Kurd nor a French gene. In addition, a research was conducted at one time between the Armenians and the Turks, and no genetic difference was found.

“But the absence of a genetic difference between the Armenians and the Turks does not mean that there is no Armenian and Turkish race, since they exist from the cultural perspective.

“Societies should not be classified by means of Biology because this also creates a number of problems,” Gokcumen stated.
