Russian Defense Ministry is anxious about the firing of South Ossetia’s center Tskhinvali and undertakes to use all power and measures to defend South Ossetia citizens and Russian soldiers deployed on that territory, the Defense Ministry statement reads. It also mentions South Ossetia has recently been fired several times from Georgian side.

The RF Defense Ministry is anxious about these actions. In the case if the provocations persist, Russian troops deployed in South Ossetia will undertake all the power and measures to defend South Ossetia citizens and Russian soldiers.

Note: In the period from July 29 to August 1, 2009 the South Ossetian territory was repeatedly fired by grenades and mortars.
