The RA Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) continues negotiations for setting up a subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh, PACE President Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu stated at a news conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.

He reported that during his meetings he will discuss the development of the Azerbaijan-PACE relations and cooperation. The PACE President promised to visit Armenia, Geogia, Russia and other states and pay attention to the settlement of conflicts, including the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, 1news.az reports.

PACE welcomes the OSCE Mink process, Çavuşoğlu said. He pointed out that PACE has its own solutions to propose.

The PACE President reported that steps to resume the activities of the PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh – the issue was on the agenda of the PACE Bureau this March. But the issue was not discussed because Head of the Armenian delegation to PACE did not participate in that sitting, Çavuşoğlu said.

The PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh suspended its activities because of the death of its Chairman Lord Russell-Johnston.
