Today, at 1:00 p.m. Armenian community of Georgia launches a campaign at 1:00 p.m. near Avlabar metro station in Tbilisi. The participants will collect symbolic 1915 signatures under appeal to president, parliament and political parties of Georgia.

The action is dedicated to 95th commemoration of the Armenian Genocide, when 1.5 million Armenians were killed in Ottoman Empire in 1915.

As NEWS.am reported earlier, Armenian community of Georgia applied to president and parliament with a request to consider the recognition of Armenian Genocide, perpetrated by Ottoman Empire. The document particularly says of drafting a relevant bill and calls for paying tribute to Genocide victims in the course of April 24 parliamentary session.
