Two investigators from Russian Interior Ministry came to the editorial office of The New Times magazine for seizure of documents in the frames of the investigation of slander case on the article “The slaves of OMON”.
The investigators asked about sources of the publication, as well as demanded the audio and video interviews printed in the magazine, Interfax reports referring to the chief editor of New Time magazine Yevgenia Albats.
The editorial staff did not let the inspectors to seize the documents.
A group of Moscow policemen subjected their superiors to sharp criticism in an interview published February 1. The accusations extended to illegal use of crack units for personal protection and fights over property.
Titled “The slaves of OMON”, the article caused a major scandal in the Moscow police force.
