Georgia does not intend to resume a war for Abkhazia and South Ossetia, Georgian president Mikheil Saakashvili stated in his interview with Reuters. According to him Tbilisi does not plan reestablishment of territorial integrity through force.

“The thing is whether anyone wants a new war with invovlement of Russia, and the answer is evident – no”, Saakashvili said, adding Georgia shares this opinion with the U.S. Georgian President considers Russia does not relinquishes hope to strip him of power, that arouses concern. Saakashvili called his tenure of office after August war “preternatural survival story”.

"I still hold the post despite the juratory promise (Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s) “to hang me with different parts of my body” , Saakashvili noted.
