Azerbaijan seeks alternatives to Karabakh peace process, Azerbaijani Presidential Administration Public-Political Department head Ali Hasanov told journalists Friday.
“Azerbaijan takes necessary steps to find a viable solution to Karabakh conflict. Presently, anti-American propaganda directed primarily against Armenia’s imperialist policy in Congress and the U.S. authorities,” Trend agency quotes Hasanov.
According to him, Azerbaijan was backing the U.S. in peacemaking mission and considered its interests in energy issues, coming so close to upsetting relations with Islamic world.
“We have repeatedly recalled U.S., that it is one of OSCE MG Co-chairing states settling Armenia-Azerbaijan issue on Karabakh conflict. We urged Armenia to mind the issue for breaking through the tight situation it is trapped. In this regard, recently Azerbaijani society voices righteous discontent both in media and amid parliamentarians,” the official concluded.
