On August 2, 2009 the RA President Serzh Sargsyan visited Orenburg region, Russia. The RA President and Orenburg Governor Alexei Chernishov laid a wreath on a grave of great Armenian poet Vahan Teryan, visited “Salute Victory” memorial complex where they laid a wreath on eternal flame. Serzh Sargsyan visited the open-air museum and planted a spruce in the honorary guests’ alley.

Armen Smbatyan, RA Ambassador to Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, the head of Union of Armenians in Russia, Erzas Nersisyan, new-Nakhichevan and Russian eparchy bishop also participated.

Today Serzh Sargsyan will attend the opening ceremony of “National Village” cultural center in Orenburg.
