Turkish famous novelist, Nobel Prize winner Orhan Pamuk refused to attend a reception in honor of Turkish writers, thrown by Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan, French Nouvelles d’Arménie magazine reports.

Pamuk did not even RSVP the invitation. He sent the letter beck putting the return address.

Interestingly, the dinner was more of political nature, as was organized within the framework of so-called “Democratic initiatives” in Turkey, the source says. One of prominent Turkish novelists Yasar Kemal also rejected Turkish PM’s invitation.
