Turkey did not invite Armenian, Israeli, Syrian and Iranian children for the annual Children’s Day festivities on April 23. However, organizers urge not to take this move as politically motivated. They recall that only 3 states – Azerbaijan, Iraq and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus have permanent participation right to the event.

“Each time we change the list of countries to be invited. The mentioned states will be invited to the event next time,” TRT TV Company Director General Ibrahim Sahin told Hurriyet.
