On August 4, 2009 Zhamanak daily chief editor, Arman Babajanyan will be released.

Zhamanak newspaper coordinator Emma Gabrielyan told NEWS. am correspondent, that Babajanyan will be released from the prison hospital due to serious health problems.

Babajanyan was in prison hospital diagnosed with a brain tumor causing loss of sight. The independent commission on conditional early discharge refused to consider the issue of Babajanyan’s release. He refused to take medicine and was getting ready for hunger strike.

Babajanyan’s term of imprisonment (3.5 years) expires September 16, 2009.
