“Shifting of our Eastern border will jeopardize the security,” Zaruhi Postanjyan, Heritage faction member told the journalists August 4, commenting on Madrid principles issues and return of the territories. “Armenia should recognize NKR’s independence and thereafter Karabakh can specify borders with Azerbaijan if considers it necessary,” she said.

Heritage Party Press Secretary Hovsep Khurshudyan added: “NKR legitimate power is eligible of involvement in negotiation process over the borders. Armenian authorities are incompetent to deal with such issues instead of Karabakh.” He stated that Heritage faction called the Sargsyan to break off the negotiations without NKR participation in one of the letters.

“Today Karabakh authorities unfortunately fully entrust to Sargsyan their legitimate rights through intermediate information voiced by Bako Sahakyan,” Khurshudyan underlined.

Zaruhi Postanjyan added that the opinion of NKR authorities does not correspond to that of Karabakh people.
