Speaking at a conference in Hamburg, Germany, Professor Halil Berktay of Sabancı University stated that the events in Turkey in 1915 were genocide.
If asked about the 1915 events, he will say that, his personal research, books he has read, as well as historical facts, convinced him it was an act of genocide, reported Atilim.
A few persons tried to interrupt the professor, crying out nationalistic slogans. The security guards had to bring them out of the hall.
