PACE President Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is to hold meetings with the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations to PACE this June. The NEWS.am correspondent in Strasbourg reported the PACE President made a relevant statement at the PACE Bureau’s sitting on April 30.

He reported that hen has held meetings with the leaders of the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegation this week. Opposition representatives will participate in the meetings scheduled for June, and the sides will decide on their further steps. The PACE President informed the Bureau, which supported the initiative.

Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu reported that the June meeting will discuss the details of the mission to be performed by the PACE subcommittee on Nagorno-Karabakh.

In commenting on the PACE President’s intention to chair the subcommittee earlier, Head of the RA delegation to PACE David Harutyunyan stated that consultations were under way.

“As regards the committee chairman, we will deal with the issue later, after we have arrived at an agreement on further cooperation,” he said.
