U.S. citizen Faisal Shahzad confessed to planning terrorist attack in Times Square in New York.

The day before Shahzad was arrested by police. American immigrant from Pakistan he was trained in terrorist camp in Pakistan, RFE/RL reports. He was hauled off a flight to Dubai late Monday and arrested in the Kennedy international airport. Shahzad was charged with terrorism and using a weapon of mass destruction.

As it was reported earlier, terrorist attack in Times Square was prevented after a street-vendor informed police about smoke coming from Nissan Pathfinder. Later experts found fireworks, petrol and propane gas tanks, as well as a bomb made from fertilizer in the vehicle.
