Armenia attaches great importance to the development of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), as well as to the integration processes within the organization, RA President Serzh Sargsyan stated at his meeting with the heads of parliamentary delegations of the CSTO member states. The delegations arrived in Yerevan for the session of CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.
“It is no mere chance that 30 out of 31 treaties signed within the CSTO have been approved by the RA Parliament,” the RA President said. He stressed that integration processes within the CSTO is crucial for such countries as Armenia. The RA President pointed out that even powerful states cannot oppose challenges alone.
The Chairman of the CSTO PA and RF State Duma Speaker Boriz Gryzlov underlined that Yerevan the meeting is the first visiting session of CSTO PA. The heads of parliamentary delegations expressed thanks for a warm reception, pointing out interesting discussions. They expressed confidence that the visiting session will consolidate the CSTO parliamentary component.
The RA President is sure that the Yerevan session will strengthen the CSTO and boost cooperation between the member-states.
