Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili stated in the interview with IA BBC that does not regret about the war against Russia and is ready to defend his country in case if it attempts another invasion into Georgia.

Meanwhile, Saakashvili said he is not going to abandon intentions and considers a new risk of war quite urgent.

“I do not intend to renounce my objectives, even the hopeless ones like country’s protection from ravages and economic yoke. Should not we have resisted when they attacked us? Yes, we will resist, but it is a dreadful scenario”, Saakashvili declared.

Georgian President also considers that the current developments in Georgian-South Ossetian zone resemble the 2008 situation. “Georgia has neither the will, nor the means to attack Russia,” the Georgian President added. “It would be complete suicide”. The matter is not whether Georgia wants to be at war with Russia, but what Russia wants from Georgia," he concluded.
