Armenian Grandmaster Levon Aronian will compete in the tournament of contenders for the World Title. Among his competitors are: Topalov (Bulgaria), Kamsky (U.S.), Gelfand (Israel), Radjabov (Azerbaijan), Carlsen-Norway and Kramnik (Russia). The organizers of the tournament will choose the last participant.


The tournament is likely to be held in Baku at the end of the year. The winner will compete with Viswanathan Anand (India).

Levon Aronian stated earlier he will not agree to participate in the tournament if it is held in Baku.
