May 31, seminar on history and legal aspects of the Armenian Genocide organized by the Swedish branch of the International Law Association (ILA) was held in Stockholm.

The President of ILA Swedish branch Ove Bring chaired the seminar, RA Foreign Ministry press service informed NEWS.am. RA Ambassador to Sweden Ara Ayvazyan, Professor in International Law at University of Dundee Kaj Hober and the Chief Editor of Armenica.org website Vahagn Avetyan took the floor. The seminar was attended by over 50 participants, including representatives of Swedish Foreign Ministry, ILA members, as well as representatives of Armenian, Turkish, and Assyrian communities.

RA Ambassador presented history of Armenian Genocide, touching upon Armenia-Turkey reconciliation, the Protocols and the reasons for the suspension of the ratification process.
