Haykakan Zhamanak daily journalist Ani Gevorgyan and her brother Sargis Gevorgyan were released from custody on their own recognizance, the lawyer Lusine Sahakyan told NEWS.am.
Ani Gevorgyan was suspected of assaulting a policeman or “threat of violence against a public agent.” Sargis Gevorgyan was detained on suspicion of hooliganism.
Arrest was the preventive punishment imposed on another activist of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), Davit Kiramijyan.
On June 1, Ani Gevorgyan was arrested along with 20 other people and brought to the police department from Liberty Square.
