Armenian-Georgian cultural cooperation in culture sphere is at a “non-departmental level” now as provided for by relevant agreements between the Armenian and Georgian Ministries of Culture. Now the cooperation involves both countries’ NGOs and individual workers of culture, RA Deputy Culture Minister Arthur Poghosyan told journalists on Tuesday.

According to him, a Week of Georgian literature in Armenia is of major significance for cultural communication.

“Our countries are developing cultural cooperation under a protocol signed in 2008 which has been is extended for another three years,” Poghosyan said.

A presentation of the “Collection of modern Georgian prose” in Armenian will be held as part of the Week of Georgian literature in Armenia.
