The confrontation between Israel and Turkey is real, the leader of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun parliamentary faction Vahan Hovhannisyan stated at a June 11 press briefing in the RA National Assembly.

“However, there exists an opinion that the superpowers are behind the Israeli-Turkish confrontation. They want the radical Islamic organizations Fatah and Hamas get rid of Iran’s influence and fall under the influence of Turkey, which is a more dependent Islamic country than Iran due to its deeper integration into the European and international agencies,” Hovhannisyan said. He added that Islamic organizations are well aware of the West’s plans and will hardly support them.
