Turkey will send two planes to Kyrgyzstan to evacuate its citizens from the country due to an unstable situation there, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated at a press conference.

According to him, Turkish authorities scan the developments in Kyrgyzstan and are ready to take all the necessary measures to ensure the security of Turkish citizens in the country.

The closure of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Turkey is out of the question. However, two planes will be sent to Kyrgyzstan, Davutoglu noted.

According to the Turkish Embassy in Bishkek, over 200 Turkish citizens live in Osh and Jalalabad.

Over 117 people were killed, 1,500 wounded in the ethnic violence between Kyrgyz and Uzbek residents. Gangs armed with automatic rifles, iron bars and machetes had set fire to houses and shot fleeing residents.

On June 14, the Secretaries of the National Security Councils of CSTO states will hold a special sitting in Moscow to discuss the situation in Kyrgyzstan.
