Severe earthquakes shocks of 6.6 point in the epicenter rocked Japan, BBC reports. National meteorologists prompted tsunami warning in the western and central parts of Japan. Earth shocks were also felt in Tokyo.

The traffic was suspended in the busiest highway of the country; two nuclear reactors had been shut down automatically. There was a leak of radiation level in the nuclear blocks, however there are no concerns in NPP surrounding areas, ITAR TASS reports.

As a result of the disaster almost 70 people were injured in Tokyo and south-western regions of Japan: Kanagawa, Shizuoka and Ayti.
