Armenia will assist Kyrgyzstan in the frames of CSTO, the Secretary of the RA National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan told the journalists on Friday.
He noted that the secretaries of national security councils of CSTO member states gathered in Moscow at the initiative of RF President Dmitry Medvedev and made a decision having 9 provisions and confirmed by the CSTO leaders. Armenia adheres to this and will assist Kyrgyzstan, he stated, adding that soon public will be aware of concrete steps.
Baghdasaryan stressed that a number of CSTO states have already sent aid to Kyrgyzstan. “Presently, we are clarifying how we can help the country,” he added.
According to official data, 258 people were killed in interethnic clashes in southern Kyrgyzstan.
