U.S. Secretary Clinton’s trip to Armenia was symbolic act rather than a private visit, RA National Assembly MP Vardan Khachatryan told the journalists on Wednesday.
According to him, the trip’s objective was to dispel speculations that U.S. is not interested in the South Caucasus. U.S. Secretary of State tried to prove that Washington takes interest in the region and her visit to South Caucasus has deep implication.
On July 4, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived in Armenia within the framework of her regional visit. She also visited Azerbaijan and Georgia.
