The 5th Open Cinema International Festival of Short Film and Animation this year is dedicated to the world renowned director Sergei Parajanov.
Retrospective of the flamboyant Armenian master will be showcased in Dom Kino and on the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress. The works of art for “The World of Sergei Parajanov – Art Without Borders” exhibition were transported from Armenia.
Festival organizer Lyudmila Lipeyko said Parajanov is “an icon of independent film”.
