Representatives of seven international agencies specializing in ensuring security will hold a maiden meeting on the margins an informal meeting of the OSCE Foreign Ministers, stated Askar Abdrakhmanov, an official of the Kazakh foreign office.

The maiden meeting of the heads of high-ranking representatives of seven regional organizations (OSCE, EU, NATO, CE, CIS, CSTO and Conference for Cooperation and Confidence Measures in Asia – CCCMA), which deal with security problems in Euroatlantic region and Eurasia, will be held under the auspices of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.

The sides will discuss security problems, including the situation in Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan, as well as the OSCE’s participation in the international stabilizing efforts. The sides will focus on the issue that may be put on the agenda of the forthcoming OSCE Summit.

The OSCE Foreign Ministers’ Council is to meet in Almaty on July 16-17. President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev is to open the forum. The Armenian and Azeri Foreign Minister are to hold a meeting with the participation of the OSCE Minsk Group  Co-Chairs.
