The head of the Azerbaijani delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly offered to have open Armenian-Azerbaijani debates in the course of the autumn session to be held in Italy, the head of the Armenian delegation to the OSCE PA Aram Safaryan told the July 14 press conference.

He noted that the Armenian delegation does not fear debates. “Our steps should be simultaneous with the moves of official diplomacy,” he added. Another member of the Armenian delegation, representing Orinats Yerkir party Khachik Harutunyan said that Azerbaijan had failed its mission in the summer session. He called fruitless Azerbaijan’s attempts to raise a question of the country’s territorial integrity.  According to him, the European parliamentarians remained silent on the issue. Azerbaijani delegation looked as a “drawing man catching at a straw,” he added.
