The entire world keeps on urging Turkey to show will and ratify the Armenian-Turkish protocols. However, official Ankara pretends not to hear the appeals, calling on Armenia to show political will, RA President Serzh Sargsyan stated at his meeting with representatives of the “Together” youth movement.

Armenia is not turning down a friendly hand held out to it. However, an adequate response should be expected if there not such a hand, the Armenian leader said. He stressed that Turkey is distorting the facts.

Speaking of Armenians’ identity, he said: “We have never considered ourselves Asians, which does not, however, mean that Europeans are superior to Asians. We have always considered ourselves Asians with European accent. We have now chosen European integration.”
