Yesterday, August 17 at 1 p.m. (Moscow time) Russian Navy spotted missing since early August, Arctic Sea bulk-carrier in the Atlantic 300 miles away from the Cape Verde Islands.

“Under the treaty with Russian authorities Arctic Sea crew was moved to warship and presently is heading to Sal Island, with further departure to Moscow by Russian aircraft,” Cape Verde Foreign Ministry statement reads, France-Presse reports.

On August 4, Arctic Sea bulk-carrier with 15 crew members aboard and lumber cargo at around U.S. $2 million was expected in Bejaia port, Algeria. However starting July 28 the vessel dropped off the radar screen, reporting no distress signal.
