The smoke from wildfires hanging over Moscow blocked air communication with the Russian capital, country’s Federal Air Transportation Agency reported.
Presently, the aircrafts heading to Moscow have to make an emergency landing in Voronezh, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Kharkov. Sheremetyevo airport does not accept aircrafts from Vnukovo and Domodedovo, Sergei Izvolsky, a spokesman for the Agency said.
Press secretary of the General Department of Civil Aviation at the RA Government, Nelly Cherchinyan told NEWS.am that the aircrafts heading to Moscow from Yerevan successfully landed in the Russian capital. To date, there are no delayed Yerevan-Moscow flights, she added.
