On August 19, 2009 a series of explosions in Baghdad killed at least 75 people and wounded 312, Reuters agency reports.

At 10 a.m. local time ten blasts exploded in succession in Baghdad. One vehicle went off near the foreign ministry building in a heavily guarded zone and diplomatic complex.

Another vehicle was blasted near finance ministry building in the centre of Baghdad, other five bombs struck different districts of Iraqi capital.

According to the local mass media, population of Baghdad is seized with a panic, people seek shelters in their houses.

Iraqi forces blocked the streets searching for the terrorists.
