Protocol prolonging Russian military presence in Armenia for 49 years the sides plan to sign in Yerevan is a message to Azerbaijan, political expert Sergey Minasyan tole the journalists on Wednesday.
According to him, the document shows that Russia is ready to provide Armenia with military assistance if necessary.
Russia wants to define the issues related to activities of its military base in Armenia, thus the country is aware that doing so it takes on commitments to assist Armenia.
In this context the expert pointed out creation of CSTO Rapid-Reaction Force that will enable to receive military assistance from the member states in case hostilities break out.
