Yesterday, on June 29, 2009 ICRC representatives visited Armenian Prisoners of War (POW) in Azerbaijan, Azeri APA agency reports.

The ICRC staff in Azerbaijan monitored confinement conditions of Azerbaijani Armed Forces’ prisoners. The ICRC officers talked to the POWs tête-à-tête and took the mails for their families.

For some reason, on May 31, 2009 two Armenian statutory service soldiers Ohan Harutunyan and Gevorg Tovmasyan, left one of the Northern units of Nagorno-Karabakh Armed Forces and crossed the border of the territory controlled by Azerbaijan AF. The details are in the process of clarification.
