Turkish press responded to the publication on Golden Apricot film festival to be held in Malatya, published by NEWS.am information analytics agency.

Referring to NEWS.am, Turkish press writes Yerevan festival has nothing in common with the mentioned event. The Armenian organizers of Golden Apricot International Film Festival will possibly file a lawsuit against Turkey for organizing a festival of the same name (Golden Apricot) in the Turkish city of Malatya. The organizers of the Yerevan festival also stressed that after they study the details, final decision on suing Turkey for using Golden Apricot brand will be made.

One of the readers Ibrahim Kurt left an interesting comment in Turkish Hurriyet daily, stressing Malatya and cinema have nothing in common. He emphasizes there is no even a cinema in Malatya. They want to sacrifice art for the sake of trade, he added.
