Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman stated that Israel cannot make peace with Palestine within next decade. “Israel has not seek a peace treaty even 16 years after Oslo agreement was signed and I suppose would not maintain peace in 16 years from now,” the Minister told one of the local TV channels.

“We should admit there are conflicts, lasting for years, like British-Argentinean confrontation over Falkland Isles or British-Spanish conflict about Gibraltar,” Liberman said.

“Israeli side has to permanently control economic, military and political situation in Palestine as well as the ways of solution to any problem emerged. However, it would be unrealistic to settle any problems with Palestinian authorities in the nearest 1-2 years,” the Foreign Minister concluded.
