Armenian Deputy Defense Minister Ara Nazaryan did not disclose the details of the criminal proceedings on the assassination of 6 Armenian servicemen.

“The issue is under strict supervision of Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. All the accessories to the crimes in the Armenian armed forces will b brought to justice,” he stressed.

Recently armed conflicts have become frequent in Armenian military units.  On July 28, Karo Ayvazyan (Yerevan) killed six soldiers, namely Senior Lieutenant Vardges Tadevosyan (Yerevan), Garegin Hovsepyan (Etchmiadzin), Andranik Sargsyan (Yerevan), Robert Hovhannisyan (Vanadzor), Artyom Manasyan (Charentsavan) in a military unit in Nagorno-Karabakh, the day after the other serviceman, Lieutenant Artak Nazaryan, was found dead on Armenia’s border with Azerbaijan. According to official version, Artak committed a suicide, but his parents insist on assassination.  On August 7, junior sergeant Harutyun Vardanyan (1984) fired twice at contract soldier Arsen Chobanyan. The latter died at the scene.
