YEREVAN. – The Arctic air currents moving from Scandinavia to the Mediterranean Sea will cause a powerful cold air front, which is expected to penetrate into Armenia late in the evening on Wednesday.
Deputy Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring State Service Meteorological Center, Gagik Surenyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his words, the entire Caucasus will be under the impact of this cold front between Wednesday and Saturday. As a result, a sharp drop in air temperature, heavy snow, blizzards, black ice on roads, and low visibility are forecast during that time.
So, Armenia is expected to welcome the New Year under severe winter conditions.
