On September 12, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan received U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary Tina Kaidanow.

Seyran Ohanyan emphasized the cooperation between the two states is one of the most important priorities of Armenian defense policy, Armenian Defense Ministry press service informed NEWS.am.

The sides attached significance to the Armenia-U.S. further cooperation and discussed military cooperation issues.

Tina Kaidanow made a point of Armenia’ s participation in the international missions, particularly in Afghanistan,  as well as further efforts in this direction.  The officials also discussed the recent developments, considered the peaceful settlement to the Karabakh conflict imperative and emphasized maintenance of ceasefire in the NKR-Azerbaijan line of contact as an important factor for further talks.
