The results of the constitutional referendum will enhance prospects to Turkey’s integration into the European Union, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu stated.

According to the minister, the approval of the constitutional reforms by the Turkish nation will greatly contribute to the negotiation process, Voice of Turkey reports.

Davutoglu stressed the approval of the package of constitutional amendments is a turning point in terms of strengthening democracy in Turkey.

As reported previously, at the September 12 referendum in Turkey, 58% of the voters supported constitutional reforms proposed by Recep Erdogan’s party.
