The Armenian pro-governmental and opposition forces are unanimous on the country’s achievements during the recent 19 years of independence.

The Head of the “Heritage” parliamentary faction Stepan Safaryan and MP from Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Rafik Petrosyan referred to Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenian army, full-fledged state institutions.

Petrosyan also pointed out “the strengthening of democracy” in Armenia, due to which the republic does not depend on the external forces. Therefore, the parliamentarian found it difficult to indicate the omissions, except for corruption.

In his turn, Safaryan pointed out numerous omissions, such as rigged elections, social polarization and the authoritarian regime.
