The most likely candidate for the post of Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly is Vardan Bostanjyan from Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP), the Zhamanak daily reports.
Bostanjyan is a professor in economics and has good knowledge of the economic situation in the country. In his recent interviews, he sharply criticized the Armenian Government for its economic policy.
As reported previously, on September 20, Vice Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly from Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Arevik Petroyan handed in her resignation.
According to the Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Khachik Galstyan, another candidate will be nominated for the post. However, Galstyan failed to specify who the candidate will be, saying that it will be clear in October.
