According to the information at the Hraparak daily’s disposal, Police Chief of Yerevan Nersik Nazaryan and his bodyguards clashed with Armenian transvestites. The incident occurred in Komaygi Park.

“According to the witnesses, the policemen ordered the transvestites to leave the street, to enter the park and stop making a show on a busy street corner. The transvestites resisted, stressing it is a peculiarity of their business. When the policemen used force, the transvestites were irritated and threatened to hold a protest in front of the Moskvichka store, which belongs to Nazaryan.

Interestingly, the bisexuals and gays did not “face the problem”, as they are engaged in their activities in the park, not on the streets.

The daily reminds the readers Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan has been trying to clear the night streetwalkers from the park. However, it is an unsolvable problem, as he is constantly ordered not to violate the rights of sexual minorities.
