September 23, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Portugal in Armenia presented a copy of credentials to the Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakosyan.

The officials stressed the necessity to enhance the bilateral political dialogue and expand trade and economic relations through the development of contractual underpinnings, mutual visits and regular political consultations, the Armenian Foreign Office press service informed NEWS.am.

The sides also referred to the bilateral cooperation within international agencies, as well as EU-launched “Eastern Partnership” project.

The officials touched upon the relations between the Armenian and Portuguese nations, including rich heritage by Galust Gyulbenkyan.  They agreed to continue activities in the spheres of culture, science and education.
