The army, the pillar our society, provides the basis for political leadership of the country to feel confident and respectable in the negotiation process, Serzh Sargsyan stated at RA Defense Ministry working conference with the participation of Ministry’s staff.

RA Chief Military Inspector Michael Harutunyan reported about the inspection results in one of the RA Armed forces military units. Further, the outcomes were discussed during the meeting.

RA President Serzh Sargsyan gave concrete instructions to those responsible for the sector and specified the deadlines.

The President underlined he periodically meets with Defense Minister and GS Chief of the Armed Forces and is well aware of current problems. However he expressed willingness to hear generals and officers in the course of the meeting.

Serzh Sargsyan devoted special attention to the improvement of military service and permanent activities on the armed forces’ development. He also outlined that defense sector should be concordant with the dictates of time and improve continuously.
