Hussein Dirioz, Adviser to Turkish President on foreign policy issues, was appointed new NATO Deputy Secretary General, the Turkish Hurriyet daily reports.
According to the daily, NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen approved his appointment. He will be responsible for NATO defense policy and elaboration of programs in hot spots.
